The number of resale homes sold in the first two weeks of November this year is up a tremendous 84% over the same two week period in 2008. Toronto Real Estate Board reported 3,666 sales so far in November compared to 1991 sales last year. To break that down to the 905 area, there were 2106 sales in the first two week of November this year compared with 1,161 last year. That's an increase of 81% in the 905 area codes.
Not only where the number of sales up, but the average sale price also increased from $358,130 to $395,195 in the 905 area.
The large increase in the first two weeks of November put the year-to-date sales up 11% in the GTA compared to 2008 and the average price of a home up 3%.
